To set up and configure M-SPEAKER Server, download and install the Windows server client, run it on your PC, and then connect your Android device via Wi-Fi or USB to use it as a computer speaker.
Developed by Nolan Software Studio, M-SPEAKER streams real-time system audio from your computer to an Android mobile device. It is useful for repurposing old smartphones or replacing a broken PC speaker. System Prerequisites PC Operating System: Windows 7, 8, 10, or 11.
PC Software: Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 or higher must be installed.
Mobile Operating System: An Android device with access to the Google Play Store.
Network: A shared local Wi-Fi router or a standard USB data cable. Step-by-Step Configuration Guide Step 1: Install the Windows Server Client
Visit the M-Speaker Official Website to download the M-SPEAKER Server for Windows setup file.
Run the downloaded installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
Ensure that your Windows Firewall allows the application to communicate through your private network if prompted during installation. Step 2: Install the Mobile App Open the Google Play Store on your Android device. Search for M-SPEAKER or nolansoft to locate the app.
Download and install the M-SPEAKER (free) app onto your phone. Step 3: Initialize the Server
Launch M-SPEAKER Server on your PC before opening the mobile app.
The server window will display your computer’s current local IP address and connection status. Step 4: Establish the Connection
Choose one of the two main physical methods to bridge your computer and phone: Method A: Wi-Fi Connection (Wireless)
Ensure both your computer and your phone are connected to the exact same Local Area Network (Wi-Fi).
Launch the M-SPEAKER app on your Android phone and tap “CONNECT TO YOUR PC”. Select your preferred scanning mechanism:
Auto-Search: Tap the first connection button to automatically discover your active PC server.
QR Code: Scan the QR code displayed on the Windows desktop server interface.
Manual IP: Type your computer’s local IP address directly into the app. Method B: USB Connection (Low Latency)
Connect your Android phone to the PC using a compatible USB data cable.
Open your phone’s system settings, search for USB Tethering, and toggle it On.
Open the mobile app, tap the USB connection icon (the fourth option), and connect to the newly created network bridge. Step 5: Verify Playback
Once successfully paired, the app will switch to the active playback screen and begin streaming your computer’s output automatically. You can control the system streaming volume directly using either the mobile app slider or your phone’s physical volume rockers.
